President Trump delivered a nationally televised address aimed directly at the Iranian people and their armed forces.
He described the moment as a turning point, urging citizens to imagine a future beyond the Islamic regime in Tehran.
The president accused the Islamic Republic regime of repression at home and destabilizing activities across the Middle East.
Call to the Iranian military
Trump spoke directly to members of the country's armed forces and security services, urging them to lay down their weapons immediately to ensure their survival.
At the same time, he warned that those who persist in armed resistance would face certain death.
Trump framed the choice as both practical and moral, saying continued loyalty to the Islamic revolutionary regime would only prolong suffering.
He argued that surrender would save lives and help open the path toward national recovery.
The president also accused the Islamic regime in Tehran of exploiting the military to preserve its grip on power.
He cited what he described as malign regional activities, including support for militant proxies and advanced weapons programs.
Furthermore, those policies, he said, have isolated the country internationally and strained its economy.
Message of hope and empowerment
Turning to civilians, Trump assured the Iranian people that help has arrived and that their freedom is within reach.
He encouraged residents to stay safe by keeping inside and remaining sheltered during ongoing military operations.
The president emphasized that avoiding exposure to outside dangers was critical while events continue to unfold.
Trump described the situation as a rare opportunity that may not arise again for generations.
He urged citizens to prepare to take control of their government once military operations are complete.
He portrayed that potential transition as a chance to unleash a prosperous and glorious future.
The president said the United States stands with the Iranian people in their pursuit of liberty.
He stressed that his message was directed at ordinary citizens, not the Islamic Republic regime.
Trump concluded by expressing confidence that the people could shape a future defined by peace, dignity and self-determination.
